Academics
Clarkson University is a nationally recognized research institution for undergraduates with focused areas of graduate study in signature areas of strength. We believe education should prepare you for the way the world actually works. That’s because the faculty at top graduate programs and employers are looking for professionals who understand today’s challenges as well as tomorrow’s opportunities and are prepared to meet them.
Our wide range of programs in business, engineering, the sciences, the humanities, pre-law, pre-med, physical therapy, and many others are shaped in partnership with business and industry. Your coursework is always fresh and relevant. Your study abroad, extracurricular, co-op and internship opportunities work in parallel with your coursework to get you world-ready. You will have opportunities to be involved, begin your research and gain “real-world” experience in your first year on campus.
Our graduates are successful and in such high demand. It all starts here at Clarkson, where our innovative curriculum spans boundaries, crosses disciplines and prepares our students for the real world
Clarkson In the News: Congratulations Ryan T. Watkins '09, an aeronautical engineering from Ballston Spa, N.Y., and Sayuri Yapa'09 a mechanical engineering major from Hannawa Falls, N.Y., who have both been named Goldwater Scholarships in the 2008 round of national competition. They are Clarkson's 18th and 19th recipients since the recognition program for the nation's top science and engineering undergraduates began in 1986. Only 52 of the 321 recipients this year were engineers!
