International Graduate Students
International Graduate Admissions
The International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) provides information and educates the international population as well as the University community of immigration regulations that govern international students, scholars and the University.
The ISSO also handles all visa related paperwork for F-1, J-1 students and J-1 scholars; the Office of Human Resources files for H-1 status for temporary non-immigrant workers.
Student interested in applying to Graduate School should view the procedures from the Graduate Studies webpage. Once you are admitted into a program and accept this offer of admission - paperwork will be forwarded to the ISSO for visa processing.
Please Note: It is very important to be consistent when writing your name on applications - test scores - and letters of recommendation. Please be sure that all documents submitted have the name as it appears on your passport.
Another important note: in the United States we use the date format of MONTH - DAY - YEAR rather than the format you may be used to of DAY-MONTH-YEAR. Please be aware when entering date of birth and other date information that you use the US data format of MM/DD/YY.
Application Deadlines: it is recommended that you apply by April 15 for the fall term and October 1 for the spring term.
- Applicants who submit their applications by January 30 for entry the following August or September 1 for entry in January will receive priority for assistantships and other forms of financial aid.
