Digital Arts & Sciences
The Digital Arts & Sciences Program at Clarkson combines traditional and digital techniques in art-making and design while simultaneously creating a unique balance with math and computer science courses. Students take classes such as 2D Digital Design, Drawing, Video, 3D Modeling and Animation, Game Design, Product Design, Website Design, Portfolio Development, and an assortment of independent and directed studies that focus on the collaborative process of team-based creative production.
DA&S students develop their research and creative abilities through an extensive portfolio development process spanning multiple semesters. The culminating project, executed in the spring semester of their senior year (and exhibited during graduation weekend), requires each DA&S student to demonstrate his or her creative abilities and technical prowess in the multimedia arts. This capstone project, coupled with the student’s digital portfolio, will tangibly demonstrate their skills and potential while acting as a key component in leading to future job opportunities or entry to graduate school.
