Helping Society Solve Environmental Problems with Physics and Math

The idea of doing experimental or theoretical research that could have a huge impact on the world once seemed daunting to me.

Not anymore.

As a student at Clarkson, my research uses probability theory to create equations that could potentially model random behaviors, from stock market fluctuations to the kinetics of chemical reactions.

This work has earned me a Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship.

I hope to use modeling techniques like this in future research on nanotechnology applications in environmental physics — to create new knowledge that can improve the environment.
