Physical therapy is a profession that includes patient/client care, education, and research. The profession encompasses working with patients and clients:
  • Of all Ages
  • With varieties of injuries or illnesses
  • For prevention of injuries or illnesses
  • In a variety of work environments

Physical therapists are the specialists in human movement and movement dysfunction. Physical therapy students learn in great depth about:

  • Human movement in all its aspects
  • Injuries and pathologies that affect human movement
  • Examining and intervening with people who suffer from movement dysfunction
  • Associated cultural, financial, legal, medical, psychological, and societal that affect intervention in improving human movement
